Brian Blackwell, Founder
Brian Blackwell is the Founder of UPNIN.com, an innovative business network that owns or holds interests in a diverse portfolio of companies in the technology, banking, private equity, oil & gas, real estate, insurance, and sports industries.
Prior to forming UPNIN Investments, the first of many UPNIN Companies, in 2008, he worked for the family office of TKI Investments, LP, and KB Legacy Properties. In 2012, Brian helped Ruthie Bolton, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, get her first book published "The Ride of a Lifetime". In 2015, Brian helped co-found Pitchman Apparel & Gloves with former Major League Baseball player Bobby Livingston. He holds his real estate license at Progressive Properties in Lubbock where he works in commercial division, and also possesses his Life, Health, Property and Casualty Insurance Licenses.
Brian graduated from Texas A&M University in 2006 and received a MBA in Finance/ Real-Estate from Southern Methodist University in 2010. While at Texas A&M Brian interned at the Office of George H.W. Bush’s Houston Office and after college worked in Washington DC at The White House. Previously he was on Mitt Romney’s 2012 Presidential fundraising team, George P Bush for Land Commissioner Finance Committee, and helped fundraise for Marco Rubio's 2016 Presidential Run. He has also helped fundraise for many local and state wide campaigns in previous years.
Over the last 15 years Brian has worked with millionaires, billionaires, celebrities, pro athletes, politicians, and professors. Brian enjoys reading biographies, networking, attending sports events, politics, and spending time with his family including his niece and nephew Bryson and Harper Distel.
